Newport Beach is one of Orange County’s most desirable communities, as it offers access to outstanding beaches, countless upscale shops and restaurants, and gorgeous natural open space. Residents enjoy year-round sunshine with mild winters and warm summers. Corona del Mar is one of the city’s most affluent neighborhoods, with large houses and many high-end places to eat and shop. CdM’s name means “crown of the sea” in Spanish, and this attractive coastal community more than lives up to this label.

Nearby Roger’s Gardens carries a large selection of unique items for the home and garden. It also has an excellent restaurant, The Farmhouse, serving seasonal fare using locally sourced ingredients. More great shopping and dining can be found in the Village area of Corona del Mar. Standouts here include bustling classic American bistro The Quiet Woman, upscale English Country Inn-style Five Crowns, and Zagat-rated Northern Italian cooking at Rothschild’s Restaurant. Many of Corona del Mar Village’s businesses have an enticingly old-fashioned vibe. The Quiet Woman and Five Crowns have both been in business here since the 1960s, while El Cholo has been serving up delicious Mexican cuisine and margaritas since the 1920s.
